Free Key Bit Chess - Kiss My Ass
Another Kiss tribute? No, Kiss My Ass is the super original title of the new album of Free Key Bit Access. And the originality doesn’t end there. Their third output in ten years time is as usual larded with Metallica, Machine Head and Prong influences. Yes, all the ingredients you need for cooking up your standard metalcore.

Kiss My Ass is by no means a bad album; it is well played and has a good sound. There a lot of German bands who are better off singing in their own language, but gladly their accent is hardly noticeable. So many bands from that country sing with such a horrendous accent, it is almost embarrassing to listen to. That is the positive thing about these guys.

But the simple but groovy songs aren’t enough to turn me on. It lacks originality, only ’Blood Stays In Pamplona’ and ’Pyromantic Dreams’ stand out of the rest. It is nice to have them as your Friday night bar band. But forget about playing with the big boys. It just hasn’t got what it takes.
